Colleen joined Pleasant Heights After School in September 2022 as the Executive Director. Colleen has extensive leadership experience in the childcare industry and is passionate about working with staff and families to develop high quality childcare programs. Her dedication to child development and quality programming combined with her understanding of legislation and licensing are an invaluable asset to the organization and the community.

Assistant Director

Tammy Goerzen, ECE, joined Pleasant Heights After School in 2022. Tammy has over 25 years of experience in the childcare industry in both front-line and management positions. She was instrumental in the creation and development of four childcare facilities and is passionate about working with children and supporting staff to foster a safe, happy, and development-oriented environment. Her insightful leadership and ability to build strong relationships with staff and families enables her to develop and maintain high quality childcare programs.

Office Manager

Kelsey joined the Pleasant Heights After School leadership team in December 2023. With over 30 years of customer service expertise and emergency medical experience, Kelsey's skills are a valuable addition to our organization. Her comprehensive knowledge of payroll, accounting, and bookkeeping ensure that our business runs smoothly. Kelsey's passion for customer service is evident in her commitment to welcoming all our clients in an efficient and positive manner. Her dedication aligns seamlessly with the values of our organization.

Panorama Hills Site Coordinator

Sofia Deano, B.S.Ed., ECE, joined Pleasant Heights After School in September 2023. With over 12 years of experience as an educator and leader in the childcare field, Sofia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. Sofia's positive interactions with families and staff and her commitment to creating a nurturing and engaging environment for the children in the program enhance the overall experience for everyone at Pleasant Heights After School.

Mount Pleasant Site Coordinator

Souheila El-Tasse, ECE, joined Pleasant Heights After School in September 2022 as the Site Coordinator at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre location. Souheila consistently demonstrates her passion for childcare programming and her exceptional skills in leading both children and staff. With over 20 years of experience in teaching, management and leadership roles, Souheila brings a wealth of expertise to our organization. Her commitment to creating enriching and engaging experiences for the children in our care has been a driving force behind the success of our Mount Pleasant program.

Milcette Parsons

King George Site Coordinator

Milcette Parsons, B.Ed., ECE, joined Pleasant Heights After School in March 2023. Milcette completed her Bachelor of Education in the Philippines and obtained her Early Childcare Education certification after coming to Canada. She has over 13 years of childcare education and management experience in the Canadian childcare industry. She enjoys building relationships with children, families, and staff and having the opportunity to experience and learn new things in her role. Milcette’s passion for leadership and working with children will continue to be an important asset to the organization.

Fatima Jamaly

Support Site Coordinator

Fatima Jamaly, ECE, joined the Pleasant Heights After School team in September 2020. Fatima obtained her Early Childhood Education from Red Deer Polytechnic in 2015 and went on to work as a classroom teacher and site coordinator for several Calgary based locations of a respected national childcare organization. Fatima works primarily at King George School and provides site coordinator support to all three childcare centres for PHAS. She enjoys having the opportunity to learn from the children and families that she works with every day.
