Colleen Hutton

Executive Director

Colleen joined Pleasant Heights After School in September 2022 as the Executive Director. Colleen has extensive leadership experience in the childcare industry and is passionate about working with staff and families to develop high quality childcare programs. Her dedication to child development and quality programming combined with her understanding of legislation and licensing are an invaluable asset to the organization and the community.

Diana Santos

Assistant Director

Diana Santos is a dedicated and highly-respected member of the Pleasant Heights After School team. Her formal background in education and her love of working with children made her a natural fit as an Early Childhood Educator. Since joining PHAS in 2011, she has provided insightful leadership and guidance to the children, families, and staff at the Panorama Hills School location. Her ability to motivate and engage children to develop their social and cognitive skills makes her a valuable asset to the organization and the community.

Nancy Bennett

Senior Childcare Advisor

Since her start with Pleasant Heights After School in 1991, Nancy Bennett has garnered an exemplary reputation as a respected Early Childhood Educator. Nancy helped to grow PHAS to what it is today, notably with her contribution developing the kindergarten program. Nancy is passionate about working with children and is a long-time member of SACDA (School Age Care Directors Association of Alberta). She helped facilitate workshops on staff engagement and played a significant role developing the first school-age childcare conference in Alberta.

Alma Castro

Office Manager

Alma first joined Pleasant Heights After School in 2011 as a part-time childcare worker. Utilizing her skills and experience from her background in business administration, she naturally took on more responsibilities and quickly moved up in the organization. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2020, and now oversees the daily operations and financial administration for PHAS. She is a treasured member of the team whose valuable contributions keep the business running smoothly.

Souheila El-Tasse

Mount Pleasant Site Coordinator

Souheila joined Pleasant Heights After School in September 2022 as the site coordinator at the Mount Pleasant location. She is skilled in the creation and implementation of childcare programming and has a passion for leading children and staff.

Danwei Wu

Panorama Hills Site Coordinator

Danwei has been a valuable member of the Pleasant Heights After School team since joining the organization in 2011. Danwei started with PHAS as a part-time childcare worker and acted as the full-time Site Coordinator at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre location for several years. Danwei is applying her leadership expertise from supporting the kindergarten and junior childcare programs to her new role as the Site Coordinator at the Panorama Hills School location starting in September 2022.
