ABOUT US

Serving The Northwest Since 1976
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
Pleasant Heights After School started as a small program in 1976 in a church hall with less than 30 children, and is now serving over 200 children in three locations today. Today we offer a full program that meets the needs of all families, with an enthusiastic staff that plans a wide variety of activities that cater to children of all ages. From physical literacy to arts and crafts, Pleasant Heights works to ensure that children are continuously engaged, and that foundations are laid for them to become strong, independent, life-long learners
PHAS PROGRAM FOR OLDER CHILDREN
In 1988 Pleasant Heights instituted the PHAS program for older children. This program is designed to provide age-appropriate activities for children between the ages of 9 and 12. Children in this program participate in self-governance, age-appropriate programming, age specific privileges such as distal supervision, fundraising for their own programs, and much much more. Our 9-12 year old program has been incredibly successful, drawing the attention of Directors from school age care programs across Alberta who have come and observed how it functions. Some highlights from this program include an annual trip to Banff just for them, and PHAS camp- an overnight trip held at the Lions Youth Camp outside of Cremona.
